The Piedmont Triad Hippo

Founded in 2005, The Hippo is an exciting 4-color monthly publication dedicated to keeping you in the know about the sights,
sounds and happenings in and around the Triad. Its small size (4"H x 5"W to fit in your "hip-pocket") makes it an ideal take-along
piece for the person on the go. It is distributed where its readers shop, eat and hang out: clubs, bars restaurants, coffee houses
and more.

The Market: The Piedmont Triad's  area (MSA) exceeds 1.2 million people including over 40,000 college students.

The Target Audience: The young and young at heart, but primarily the 21-39 year old age group with a  special emphasis on hip
female readers. Editorial and advertising content appeals to readers with high education, and income levels.

Printed twelve times a year and distributed free through
over 110 locations in Greensboro and Winston-Salem.

Downtown Winston-Salem Guide - 2009
AKA Entertainment & Media, in collaboration with the Downtown Winston-Salem Partnership is
publishing the first  "Downtown Winston-Salem Guide", which will implement a collective strategic
marketing plan to aggregate all of downtown's commercial districts into one full-color guide for
downtown workers, residents and visitors. The project will be underwritten entirely by advertising
dollars. Distribution is scheduled for December 2008.

Unlike the citywide guide distributed primarily to out of town visitors, our downtown-centric guide is
more effective in reaching downtown workers and city residents who are most likely to become repeat
customers. We strategically distribute them in the best locations to reach those people. The result is
that all downtown businesses benefit, not just eating establishments.

Please take a moment and review our online information to determine whether or not an advertising
presence in the 2009 Winston-Salem Downtown Guide would be a good investment for you.You are
also welcome to call Scott Ballard at 919 606-3104 for an in-person meeting about the guide.
