Winston-Salem local is a new quarterly
tabloid, but its creator is a veteran of the
local scene. AKA Entertainment & Media
published the Hippo magazine for five
years (2005-2010) and continues to
publish both the Downtown Greensboro
Guide and the Downtown Winston-Salem
Guide. Additionally AKA produces the
annual Texas Pete Twin City RibFest in
Winston-Salem and the Carolina 'Shine
Fest in Madison, NC.
Winston-Salem local is designed to fill the
gap between the annual CVB's Visitors
Guide and the weeklies. In other words,
timely information with a greater shelf life
and more economical ad cost. We will be
publishing a new Winston-Salem local for
each season and distributing 25,000
copies throughout town including hotels,
restaurants, coffee shops, nightclubs and
retail boutiques.
Winston-Salem local will feature content
focused on two main areas, dining and
entertainment, with a special emphasis on
